United Steelworkers of America. Local 302 (New Kensington, Pa.)
In 1937, members of the aluminum workers union in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, organized to form the Aluminum Workers of America (AWA) and join the Congress of Industrial Organizations. The United Steelworkers of America (USWA) absorbed the AWA in 1944, and Local 302 came into District 19 of the USWA. Local 302 disbanded in around 1987.
