Isaac Wayne, son of Revolutionary War general "Mad" Anthony Wayne and Margaret Penrose, was a prominent Pennsylvania lawyer and statesman, serving in the Pennsylvania State House. After serving as a colonel in the War of 1812, he was elected a member of the United States House of Representives. With his wife, Elizabeth, he had sons Charles Wayne and William Wayne. William Wayne married Hannah J. Zook, sister of Civil War general Samuel Kosciusko Zook. Isaac Wayne's nieces and nephews include Mary Atlee, William Wayne Evans, Mary Evans, Israel Vogdes, Joseph Vogdes, William Vogdes, and Anna W. Hayman, and his cousins include Sarah R. Perkins and Enoch Walker.
