Balinese Manuscript Project.

Hide Profile

The collection comprises over three thousand typed transcriptions of Balinese palm leaf manuscripts, representing a portion of the materials housed in the Kirtya (formerly Van der Tuuk) archives in Bali. The transcriptions were produced between 1972 and 1983 under the auspices of the "Balinese Manuscript Project." That project was supervised by Christiaan Hooykaas and later by H.I.R. Hinzler.
