The Ann Arbor Rotary Club was founded in July of 1916. The mission of the organization was to encourage, foster, and implement the ideals of Rotary International in the local community and throughout the world in ways that enhance the quality of life and human dignity, create greater understanding among all people, and advance the search for peace. In all of their activities, they strive to abide by the highest ethical standards and always be guided by the Rotary principle of 'Service Above Self.' (from Rotary Club's website)
