Newhall Ship Chandlery Co.
Henry B. Newhall originally ran a hardware business. His ship chandlery first appears in Trow's New York City Directory for 1889-90. In November 1905, he stepped down as president and trustee of Newhall Ship Chandlery Co. J.C. Bancroft became president and John W. Bancroft, secretary of the board of trustees, became the major stockholder.
