Cunningham family
Kirk Cunningham was born in Scotland on April 26, 1797. His brother John was a farmer in Lancaster, Massachusetts. The children of John Cunningham and his wife Louisa included Christiana, Betsy S., Walter Rice (b. 1846), and Edward. Kirk Cunningham lived in Boston before moving to Mobile, Alabama, in the mid-1840s and San Francisco, California, in 1854. He returned to Mobile in 1855. Cunningham married a woman named Mary.
