The Ad Hoc School Crisis Committee was established in 1975 after school legislation failed in Seattle, Washington. The following year, the Citizens for Fair School Funding was created with the expanded purpose to influence legislation at the state level. The organization was disolved in 1979; however, the Citizens Education Center Northwest continued throughout the 1980s as an information resource, school advocate, and reform supporter
