Born at Selby, South Dakota, July 23, 1903 and died at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, February 28, 1965. Major accomplishments during his administration included bonus payments to veterans, increased highway construction, and increased compensation for public employees. Worked aggressively for Missouri River development.
