Local 650 was the bargaining agent for the Reo Motor Company, Lansing, Michigan and, until 1938, a branch of Local 182, an amalgamated union of all the workers in Lansing. In 1939, the Reo branch of Local 182 applied to the UAW Executive Board for a separate charter and Local 650 was established.
