Buckner, Benjamin Forsythe, 1836-1901.
Attorney and judge
Buckner was born in Illinois, though his parents were Kentuckians. He was educated at the Kentucky Military Institute and read law in the office of his father. He began the practice of law in Winchester, Ky. in 1857. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War. After the war, Buckner held various judicial positions, among them judgeship of the Tenth Judicial District in Kentucky.
