Freeman, Joseph Addison, 1833-1864
Joseph Addison Freeman (1833-1864), a New Jersey physician. Born in Paterson (Passaic County), he received an A.B. from the College of New Jersey (1852), and an M.D. (1856) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons (N.Y.). During the Civil War he served as a surgeon in the Thirteenth N.J. Volunteers.
