John Marcellus Steadman III (1918- ), author and educator, has been an instructor at Georgia Institute of Technology (1941-1942) and professor at University of North Carolina (1949-1951), University of California-Riverside (1966- ). Steadman also conducted independent study and research in English literature (1953-1961). He served as research associate and advanced to senior research associate at the Henry E. Huntington Library (1962- ).
