Hide Profile

The Educational Alliance was founded as a private organization, governed by a Board of Trustees and expressly for the purpose of giving opportunity to the residents of the overcrowded neighborhoods of the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The organization is primarily an educational institution; however it also serves some of the community's social and recreational needs. The Alliance contains the following Departments: Classics in English, Hebrew, Literature and Science, Commercial, Domestic Science, Fine Arts, Physical Culture (Physical Education), as well as programs for public lectures, exhibits and clubs. For more information on the current programs of the Educational Alliance, please visit their website at: http://www.edalliance.org/
