Nydegger, Melvin G., 1906-1951.
Born 1906 in Parsons, Kansas; graduate of Kansas State Teachers College and University of Wisconsin; teacher of foreign languages in high schools and military schools; began a student and faculty exchange program at Allen Military Academy in 1938-39; member of Quartermaster Corps of U.S. Army 1940-1946; joined faculty of Mississippi Southern College in 1946 and founded the Institute of Latin American Studies; died unexpectedly in January 1951.
