Van Wagner, Alson D. (Alson DeGarmo), 1915-2001.
Alson D. Van Wagner was born October 11, 1915. In 1924, his family joined Clinton Corners Monthly Meeting, and in 1952 he married Irene Hoskins (1914-2002), the daughter of a Quaker minister. A graduate of the Oakwood School and Earlham College, he operated a poultry business on the family farm in Dutchess County, N.Y. After retirement, Alson and Irene Van Wagner opened a camera shop and pursued their interests in Quaker concerns and local history. Alson Van Wagner died December 15, 2001, and Irene Van Wagner died three weeks later.
