Van Name, Ralph Gibbs.
Ralph Gibbs Van Name (1877-1961), scientist and nephews of Josiah Willard Gibbs, received a B.A. and Ph.D. from Yale University, was on the Yale faculty 1904-44, and was a lifelong resident of New Haven. He devoted great attention to memoralizing the life and work of Josiah Willard Gibbs.
