Bolling, Robert, 1759-1838.
A member of the seventeenth century Virginia landholding Bolling family, he served in Virginia Militia as cavalry captain in the Revolutionary War and was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 1781. Bolling developed Petersburg, Va. land inherited from his father.
