Stanton, James Thomas.
Owen Stanley, 1811-1850, was marine surveyor of the first rank who worked in Australian water from 1847-1850 in command of "H.M.S. Rattlesnake" surveying several bays in Eastern Australia, Torres Strait and the Southern Coast of New Guinea.
