Santa Clara County Historical Heritage Commission

The Santa Clara County Historical Heritage Commission was created in 1973 by the Board of Supervisors in order to "protect, preserve, and promote the appreciation, recognition and preservation of historic resources in Santa Clara County." This commission advises the Board of Supervisors.
The commission is responsible for the creation and maintaining of the Heritage Resource Inventory, promoting historic preservation, and ensuring that significantly historic structures and sites are not disturbed or destroyed.
