Charles G. Edwards (1916-2006) was born on May 21, 1916. Originally from West Pawlet, VT, he graduated from the mechanical program in the Rochester Athenaeum and Mechanics Institute's School of Industrial Arts in 1937. Edwards paid for his courses by working at the Eastman Kodak Company for 40 cents an hour. An article was published in the May 1, 2004 issue of the RIT News & Events and in the fall 2004 University Magazine in honor of Edwards's grandson's graduation. His grandson, David Fuehrer, represented the fourth generation of family members to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology. Charles Edwards died on July 3, 2006.
