Marshall, Henry, 1805-1864
Variant namesHenry Marshall of DeSoto Parish, La., was a wealthy cotton planter and slaveholder. He served as a member of the Louisiana State Senate, delegate to the Louisiana secession convention (1861), delegate to the Confederate Provisional Congress (1861-1862) and as representative from Louisiana to the Confederate Congress. He died July 13, 1864 at his plantation, Lands End, in DeSoto Parish.
