Lempriere, Thomas James, -1852
Variant namesThomas Lempriere, (1796-1852) was Deputy Assistant Commissary at Port Arthur prison, Tasmania and an amateur meteorologist. He used a basic tidal gauge to measure the tidal movements of that period.
