William Thomas Green (1901-1986), AB, 1921, Indiana University; MD, 1925, Indiana University, Harriet M. Peabody Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Co-Head of the Department at Harvard Medical School, was Orthopedic Surgeon-in-Chief at Children's Hospital and Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Mass. Green developed techniques to modify skeletal growth, correct discrepancies in leg growth, and surgical corrections for children with cerebral palsy. Green's research focused on poliomyelitis and bone illnesses.
