Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of Friends (Hicksite : 1827-1955). Joseph Jeanes Fund Committee.
The Committee on the Joseph Jeanes Fund was established in 1896. The fund was established through a gift from the Estate of Joseph Jeanes to assist in the establishment and maintenance of Boarding Homes for the Aged and Infirm amongst Friends and those in sympathy with Friends. In 1907, Anna T. Jeanes made an additional donation to this fund for the establishment and assistance of hospitals or infirmaries connected with the homes.
