Dorothy D. Lenoir was born on May 12, 1901. She served in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps during World War II and began working as the secretary for the Mississippi Educational Association in 1944. Lenoir was the director of the Placement Bureau for the University of Southern Mississippi between 1961 and 1963. She died in December 1973.
