Herndon family.

David Herndon and his wife, Mary Moorman Herndon, came to Kentucky from Virginia in the early nineteenth century. They settled on farmland extending through Meade and Breckinridge counties before moving on to Missouri. One of their sons, Richard S. Herndon, maintained and added to the Kentucky farm. Another son, William Herndon, settled in Texas, and a third, J.M. Herndon, moved to Missouri with his parents. The Herndons also had a daughter, Laetitia Herndon Heth.
