Kirby, Mansell, 1897-1996.
Mansell Kirby was a Melbourne pianist, harpsichordist and teacher. She began playing the piano at an early age. She travelled to Europe during the 1920s and while in England became involved in the early music revival which took place in the 1920s and 1930s. She began playing the harpsichord in 1936 and performed in many recitals and broadcasts of early music after her return to Melbourne in 1937.
