Hide Profile

Quinn and Jessie Gulick, the primary collectors of these photographs, were the son and daughter-in-law of James Harvey Gulick and Laura Palmer Gulick.

James and Laura moved from Kansas to California in 1887, the first branch of the Gulick family to come to California, and settled in Olive. James's parents, Martin Nicholas and Annis C. Phelps Gulick, later moved from Illinois to California, settling in Tustin. Their daughter, Alice Gooch Gulick, also moved with them and she eventually settled in Corona with her husband. Other members of the Gulick family later migrated to California and settled throughout Orange and San Diego Counties. The donor of this collection, George Gulick, was the son of Quinn and Jessie Gulick.
