Richardson, William H. (William Harvie), 1795-1876
Variant namesRichardson, William H. (William Harvie), 1795-1876, Richmond, Va. soldier and statesman, veteran of War of 1812. In 1821 he was appointed clerk of the council of state, and 1841-1876 served as Adjutant-General of Virginia. He organized and as served as first librarian of the Virginia State Library in 1828-1852.
