Henry Philip David (b. 1923), BA, 1948, University of Cincinnati; MA, 1949, University of Cincinnati; Ph.D., 1951, Columbia University, is a clinical psychologist and the founder (1972) and director of the Transnational Family Research Institute, an organization that conducts theoretical and empirical research into a broad range of bio-psychosocial issues related to both individual and dyadic human reproductive behaviors. He also co-founded the Population Association of America's Psychosocial Workshop. David collaborated in number of studies, including a thirty year case control study of Czech children born to women twice denied abortions and a Danish study of the psychological effects on women experiencing abortion.
