Judge Raymond Reisler graduated from Cornell in 1927 and from Columbia University Law School in 1929. At Cornell, he belonged to Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, the Masque, Columns Board, Varsity Lacrosse. He served as president of the Class of 1927 and as a member of the Cornell Council. He was in private practice as an attorney in Brooklyn and was active in the New York State Bar Association, serving as its president, and he was a member of the executive committee of the American Bar Association. In 1967, he was appointed as a New York City Criminal Court judge by Mayor John Lindsay. In 1977 he became acting Supreme Court Justice of the State of New York. He retired from the bench in 1978 and joined the law firm of Buchman & Buchman as counsel. Judge Reisler died in 1992.
