Judge.

Thomson was born in 1861 in South Carolina. Due to ill health as a young man, he was largely self-educated. Working as a clerk in the office of the Gadsden County Clerk of Court, he read and studied Law with the Circuit District Judge. In 1892, he ran for and was elected County Judge, a post he held for forty years. In 1913, Thomson and two associates opened an insurance agency. Thomson was considered a kind and generous man, known as either "Uncle Paul" or just "Judge."
