Woodward, Thomas William, 1833-1902.
Resident of Rockton in Fairfield County, S.C.; attended South Carolina College; served in S.C. House and Senate; during Civil War, served in 20th and 6th South Carolina Volunteers, where he was promoted to rank of major; one of the founders of the S.C. Agricultural and Mechanical Society in 1869 and elected president in 1873.
