Hawley, Samuel H., 1925-2006.
Samuel Hawley was born in Conn. in 1925 and enlisted in the Army at Hartford, Conn. in July 1943. At the time of enlistment he was unmarried and had completed four years of high school. Hawley joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. He was assigned to Company B of the 86th Infantry Regiment. Hawley was also stationed at Camp Swift, Tex. before being sent to Italy. He attained the rank of Sergeant. Hawley died in 2006.
