Barbara Hall was born July 17, 1960, in Danville, VA. She is the daughter of Ervis Harvard (a company manager) and Florine Hardie (a homemaker) Hall. In December 1985 she married Nick Harding (a writer), and they had a daughter. Hall received a B.A. in 1982 from James Madison University. Her career has included screenwriter and producer for television in Los Angeles, CA, 1982--; and supervising producer of television series I'll Fly Away, National Broadcasting Co., Inc. (NBC-TV); Castle Rock Entertainment, writer/developer; writer. Hall has written numerous children's books and has won several awards for them.
