Thibodaux Music Club.
The Thibodaux Music Club was organized and federated in 1961 after Mrs. Churchill from Donaldsonville, an officer in the National Federation of Music Clubs, prompted Sarah Marshall to poll people in Thibodaux for their interest in forming a music club. The Thibodaux club began with fewer than five people with the stated objective: "Dedicated to bringing the spiritualizing force of music to the inner life of our nation by bringing it every chance we can to the people of Thibodaux."
