Sheftall Sheftall (1762-1847) was born in Savannah, Georgia and was the son of Mordecai Sheftall. During the American Revolutionary War, he was the Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Issues for the Continental troops in Georgia. He was taken prisoner in 1779, exchanged in 1780, and served until the end of the Revolution.
