Wolper family.
Jacob Wolper immigrated to Charleston, South Carolina, from Poland, ca. 1910. His first wife died during an earlier immigration attempt. His second wife, Cecile Barr, and four children joined him in Charleston in 1915. The Wolpers had three more children (including Leon Wolper) in Charleston. The family lived at 162 King Street where Jacob Wolper made his living as a cobbler.
