Hubert Walter Collins (1892-1988) was a civil engineer and college professor.

He received bachelors and masters degrees in mathematics from the University of North Carolina, and a joint degree in civil engineering from Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers until 1947, when he bacame a professor of civil engineering at the Colorado A&M College in Fort Collins, Colo.
