During the academic year 1988-1989, Radcliffe College held three conferences, with funding from the Charles H. Revson Foundation, in order to look at the role of women in the 21st century and to set forth a research and policy agenda. The first conference was entitled Defining the Challenge: Emerging Needs and Constraints (December 2-3, 1988); the second: Restructuring for Reality: An In-Depth Look at Selected Issues (March 2-4, 1989); and the third: Meeting the Challenge: Women As Leaders (May 12-13, 1989).
