Missionary; born Mabel Easton, September 24, 1882; in 1917 she went as a missionary to the Belgian Congo under Africa Inland Mission; she helped set up schools for children and women and led prayer groups for women; married John G. Buyse in 1928 and together they served as missionaries in Aru and Kasengu (Belgian Congo), Goli, (Uganda), and Opari (Sudan); retired to AIM's retirement center in Clermont, Florida, 1957; died, 1967; her husband died in 1959.
