Page, Earle, 1880-1961
Variant namesPage, a surgeon during World War I, was elected to the federal seat of Cowper in 1919; helped found the Country Party and was leader from 1920 to 1939; was Treasurer in the Bruce-Page government, 1923-1929; served in the second Lyons Ministry; was Prime Minister, briefly, in 1939; was a minister in the Menzies and Fadden governments of 1940-1941; and was Minister for Health in the Menzies governments of the early 1950's.
