Tolman's collection of Native American artifacts, formerly in the Concord Free Public Library, is now at the Concord Museum.

Antiquarian, historian of Concord, Mass., and collector of Native American artifacts; amateur botanist and entomologist; Secretary and Director of Middlesex Mutual Fire Insurance Company (Concord); Secretary of Concord Antiquarian Society. Born in Boston, Apr. 15, 1862, to George Tolman (Adams Tolman's predecessor as Secretary of Concord Antiquarian Society) and Elizabeth Bartlett Adams Tolman; died in Concord, July 28, 1920. Tolman family lived for a time in the home of Sophia Thoreau, Henry's sister, who had a formative influence on the tastes and interests of Adams.
(Cont.) Married Harriet Learned Giles, 1888. Member of Social Circle in Concord. Tolman's collection of Native American artifacts, formerly in the Concord Free Public Library, is now at the Concord Museum.
