Leta Ramos was an Artist's model and artist of Oakland, Calif. Ramos is married to figurative painter Mel Ramos, she began posing for her husband in 1959, becoming his primary model for many of his earlier works, including the well-known Pop images of female superheroes and women with animals, such as "Gorilla," 1967.
