Born Christiania, Norway, son of Lars and Christi Herbrandson Larson. Family emigrated 1854, settled in Fillmore County, Minn. Lars Henry married Ingeborg Halvorsen 1873, farmed near Houston, Minn. till 1879, then moved to Elm River country near Fargo, N.D. and farmed there. Entered machinery business partnership under name Larson and Johnson, Hillsboro, N.D., later sold out, continued farming, and improving his Shorthorn cattle. President of Hillsboro Banking Company, formed 1890, maintained other business interests; elected to N.D. legislature 1892, active in Traill County seat fight.
