The Mukwonago Oil and Gas Company was organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming, but its principal place of business was in Boulder County. Its officers, primarily businessmen from Boulder and Lafayette, were John Auert, president and general manager; W. P. Collins, secretary and treasurer; and L. A. Collins, vice president. The company's offices were located at 1112 Pearl Street, Room 4, Boulder, Colorado.
The Mukwonago Oil and Gas Company (apparently named after Mukwonago, Wisconsin, birthplace of William P. Collins) was active northwest of Boulder during the Boulder County oil boom of ca. 1900-1912.
