Harold David Levine (1907-1993), SB, 1929, Harvard College; MD, 1932, Harvard Medical School; was a cardiologist at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Mass. specializing in electrocardiography. He was also Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Levine's research focused on pharmacological studies including the electrocardiographic effects of various drugs and changes in the electrocardiogram in metabolic disturbances such as hyperkalemia and hypokalemia; he also described paroxysmal atrial tachycardia with block due to digitalis overdosage.
