Iowa Plant Life Commission.
The Iowa Plant Life Commission was an advisory group formed to advise the Iowa Executive Council regarding native plant selections for a state capitol grounds extension project. Members of the group were Edgard R. Harlan (Iowa State Historical Dept.), L.H. Pammel (Iowa State University), Thomas Macbride (State University of Iowa), and Wesley Greene (Iowa Horticultural Society). Lawrence E. Foglesong was the associate landscape architect for the project.
