Gauch, Patricia Lee

Patricia Lee Gauch was born January 3, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. Following college she found work as a newspaper reporter, but had to give that up after giving birth to her two children. She began to write for children. Her earlier books were picture books for younger children, but eventually she began writing novels for older children and young adults.. She has received several wards and honors for her work.
