John Hundale Lawrence was a medical physicist at the University of California, where he founded the Donner Laboratory (within the U.C. Radiation Laboratory, later named Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory after his brother, Ernest Orlando Lawrence). He also served as a regent of the University.
